POOL RULES

 

 

Requirements for Residents to Use the Pool

Buffalo Run Mesa residents (which are comprised of the 468 single-family homes) must have an active key card to be able to access the pool.

 

Notices Regarding Pool Operation

  • POOL FACILITIES ARE USED AT YOUR OWN RISK
  • NO LIFEGAURD IS ON DUTY—SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK
  • POOL MONITORS ARE NEITHER LIFEGUARDS NOR SECURITY GUARDS They are present to simply monitor activity at the pool, ensure anybody accessing the pool has a valid key card and the guest limit per household is not exceeded. Pool monitors will report violations of pool rules, trespassing, and other criminal or offensive behavior to the HOA Board and, if deemed necessary, Commerce City Police.
  • The HOA, its Board, its property management company, its pool management company (which includes pool monitors furnished by the pool management company) are not responsible for any lost or stolen articles or for accidents that may occur on the premises.

Pool Use Rules

  • Individuals using the pool without an active key card will be considered trespassing and police will be contacted immediately
  • Damage to the Pool, Furniture and Other Structures and Equipment: Homeowners will be responsible for reimbursing the HOA for all costs related to repairing damages to the pool caused by themselves or their guests.
  • Responsibility for Guests' Actions: Buffalo Mesa residents are responsible for the conduct and actions of their guests and children and must be present in the pool area with their guests at all times.  Each household may accompany up to five (5) guests at the pool.
  • Baby Pool Usage: Use of the baby pool is restricted to children 6 years old and younger.
  • Supervision of Children and Teenagers:
      
  • Children 15 years old and younger must be supervised at all times by a responsible person 18 years of age or older.
  • Hazards to Public Health:
      
  • Infants and toddlers must wear a swim diaper—NO REGULAR DIAPERS
  • No food or beverages in or near the swimming pools
  • No glass containers
  • No littering or glass of any kind
  • No diving, running, jumping, pushing and other unruly horseplay
  • No skateboards, bicycles, scooters, etc. allowed inside gated area; rollerblades must be removed before entering the pool area
  • No person with an infectious or communicable disease or open wound is permitted in the pool
  • Small floating toys, rafts, rings, tubes or boards are allowed in the shallow end of the pool if not detrimental to safety and may be prohibited at the discretion of the gate guards. ANY INFANT, TODDLER OR CHILD UNABLE TO SWIM MUST BE IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH AN ADULT IN THE WATER WHEN USING FLOTATION DEVICES. Large rafts, boats, etc are not allowed in the pool at any time. Hard balls, such as tennis balls, are not allowed in the pool area.
  • Right to Public Enjoyment of Pool:
      
  • Foul, abusive or excessively loud language is not permitted
  • No smoking/vaping, no alcohol, and no pets
  • No spitting or throwing of water
  • No gum in the pool area
  • Proper swimming attire is required - swim suits only; No cutoffs may be worn in the pool
  • Radios must be played at a volume that does not disturb others at the pool

Violations of Pool Rules/Penalties

The HOA Board reserves the right to suspend pool use privileges of any residents, their guests and their children who, while on the pool premises, violate these rules, City ordinances and/or State laws.

  • Pool users who are in violation of the pool rules will be notified by the Gate Guard. This warning is considered a first notice and will be noted by the Gate Guard.
  • Households (owners and guests) that receive a second notice of violation of pool rules will not be allowed to use the pool for 2 weeks.
  • Households (owners and guests) that receive a third notice of violation of pool rules will not be allowed to use the pool for 60 days.
