Metro District Snow Plow map
Snow Removal - Parks and Open Spaces
The Metro District is responsible for plowing the snow off of all sidewalks located on Metro District-owned open spaces. See map above for the location of the sidewalks cleared by the Metro District (marked in PURPLE). The Metro District's landscaper performs the snow-plow services for the Metro District.
The Metro District Board's policy is for snow to be removed from the sidewalks when the snow accumulation from any snow storm is greater than 3 inches. Snow removal services will occur no earlier than 24 hours after the end of a snow storm.
Snow Removal - Sidewalks in Front of Homes
Homeowners are responsible for clearing the snow off of the sidewalks that run parallel to the street in front of the house. Per Commerce City ordinances, homeowners must clear the snow off of the sidewalk within 24 hours after the end of the snow storm.
Snow Removal - Streets
Commerce City is responsible for plowing the snow off of all streets within the neighborhood. (The City owns and maintains these streets.) In most cases, Commerce City will only plow the snow off the streets that comprise the school bus route. When the snow fall is significant, the City may plow the snow off of additional streets. Homeowners should contact the Public Works Division at Commerce City with questions regarding the City's snow plow services.
