Buffalo Run Mesa Pool

The swimming pool facility is one of the great benefits to living in the Buffalo Mesa neighborhood. The pool facility was constructed in 2006 and is comprised of a 110,000-gallon pool (with a depth range of 3.5 feet to 5 feet), an 1,200-gallon toddler wading pool (1-foot depth) and bathroom facilities. Both pools are lighted and heated.

Pool Season / Hours of Operation

The pool is open approximately 101 days each year from Saturday on Memorial Day weekend (in May) to the second Sunday in September.

The pool is open 7 days a week from 8:00am to 8:00pm every day during the pool season. NOTE: Pool use is restricted to lap swimming only from 8:00am to 10:00am every day.

ACCESS TO THE POOL

Access to the pool is restricted to residents and their guests. Each household is issued one electronic key card that opens the gate to the pool area. Residents cannot access the pool area without a working key card.

Guest Usage of the Pool

Each household within the Buffalo Mesa neighborhood may accompany up to five (5) Guests to the pool. Residents must accompany their Guests at the pool at all times. If Residents desire to accompany more than five Guests at the pool, they must submit their request to the HOA Manager. Under direction from the Board, the HOA Manager will grant/deny such requests and notify the Gate Attendants.

Conditions Restricting Access to Pool

Residents and their Guests who violate pool rules and policies may have their pool use privileges suspended by the Board.  In addition, Residents will also be restricted from accessing the pool if either (1) their account balance owed to the HOA is greater than $50 or (2) an open covenant violation at the fourth stage or greater exists on their property. Those who enter the pool area when their pool privileges are suspended will be considered trespassing and will be referred by the HOA to the Commerce City police.

No Pool Lifeguard

The pool is not monitored by lifeguards.  Residents and their Guests must use the pool at their own risk.

Children at the Pool

Children 15 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older) at all times. Adults must notify the Gate Attendant of those children over which the adults are assuming responsibility.

Severe Weather

If severe weather is occurring at the pool or is in near proximity to the pool, users of the pool must leave the gated pool area and the Gate Attendant will close the pool. At the Gate Attendant's discretion, the Gate Attendant may reopen the pool no earlier than 30 minutes after any severe weather ceases. Severe weather includes, but is not limited to lightning, thunder, rain, severe winds, tornadoes and hail.

Pool Capacity

Although more than XX people are allowed within the gated area of the pool, the maximum number of individuals allowed in the pool is XX (per 20xx Tri-County Health Department ordinances). The Gate Attendant is authorized to restrict additional individuals from entering the pool area if maximum capacity has been reached.

Trespassing

Individuals accessing the pool area outside of normal pool operating hours and days and without authorization from the Board are deemed to be trespassing on private property--an offense punishable under Commerce City's municipal code.
